Camp Pendleton
PDPlay was selected to build several playgrounds at a child development center recently constructed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in San Diego County. There were a total of four separate playgrounds, each designed and built to accommodate a specific developmental grouping of children ranging from 0 to 6 years of age.
The landscape architect who designed the center wanted a Reggio Emelia approach to the playgrounds which, in general, call for incorporating nature and natural elements into playgrounds. Relying on our expertise with our own line of Outdoor Learning Environments and years of experience of designing and manufacturing commercial playground equipment that meets state-mandated childcare center guidelines, we were chosen by the general contractor to construct these playgrounds.
