PDPlay Pad at Legoland
Legoland in Carlsbad, CA selected PDPlay to help them with the surfacing portion of their Las Vegas exhibit. They were looking for a cost-effective surfacing option that could be crafted on-site, provide a realistic texture and compliment the realistic-looking Lego designs of the city of Las Vegas, NV.

Our PDPlay Pad poured in place rubber playground safety surfacing was a perfect option for the job. We used 1 to 3 MM EPDM rubber granules laid down in 1/4″ thickness for the roads and 1/2″ thickness for the sidewalks all over 1/4″ plywood for the base. We also surfaced the pools and the ponds in a similar fashion but with blue granules instead of the gray (sidewalk) and black (roads). The roads have a guidewire installed in them so the cars and trucks drive around the city following those wires.
Every 20 feet there is a charging station for the cars and trucks. We custom built the charging stations base plate out of HDPE plastic and covered them with the PDPlay Pad poured in place rubber. The total amount of PDPlay Pad poured in place rubber was 4,000 square feet spread over two areas. It took our dedicated crews 8 days to finish this very intricate and detail-focused job.
